5:45 PM: Everett Police confirm a person has been shot at an apartment complex on 100th SW at 5 PM. K-9 and Patrol units are looking for a suspect. We will update when we get more information.

7:00 PM: Everett Police officers, K-9 Units and the King County Sheriff’s Helicopter are all searching the area west of Walden Pond Apartments after a juvenile male was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting that killed a juvenile male in Everett.

Just after 5:00 p.m. this evening, a resident at Walden Pond Apartments (9900 12thAve W) called 911 to report hearing a shot.  Arriving officers located a juvenile male who had been shot outside the breezeway of an apartment building.

Aid was immediately rendered to the juvenile and he was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in serious condition.

Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the juvenile died from his injuries.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and are investigating to develop suspect information. At this time, no suspect has been identified.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine cause and manner of death as well as establish identity.
