It’s Dog-Tober In Everett!

This is the 3rd year for this event.

Instead of October the folks at Animal Rescue Foundation of Everett are marking this month as Dog-Tober with a series of events.

First up this Saturday is the annual Rockin’ Paw 5k Fun Run and Walk. Here’s the info. on that.

Animal Rescue Foundation of Everett (ARF) is holding its Third Annual Rockin’ Paw 5k Fun Run & Walk on October 7th at Langus Park in North Everett.

Start time is 9:00 am, at the door registration opens at 8:00 am.

ARF is honoring the local naval community and offering 100 free race registrations to active duty military who show their current military ID.

Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Runners – Male/Female All Age Categories and 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Runners with Dog – Male/Female All Age Categories.

Youth accompanied by an adult runs/walks for free and receives a commemorative medal as well as dogs accompanied by a human.

Prizes will also be awarded for best costume.and the event will feature food, games, der-wiener pool, entertainment and dog and people-friendly vendors. Click here to purchase tickets or learn more.

ARF was established in 2005 to support the work of the Everett Animal Shelter (EAS), Snohomish County’s largest and only open-admission shelter. Through fundraising, adoption events, and education, ARF has spread public awareness about the Everett Shelter and the important work it does for animals and the community in Snohomish County. ARF is also uniquely poised to provide assistance directly to the animals who most need it by funding medical expenses that fall outside the shelter’s budget.
