The PUD and Arkive Records Management are holding this free shredding event so our customers can safely dispose of their sensitive paper documents.

You’ll also find special deals on energy-efficiency kits for sale.

How much can I shred?

You are allowed to shred contents (see acceptable list below) that fit into two banker boxes (a banker box is approximately 24″ long x 12″ wide x 10″ tall).

What you CAN shred:

  • Paper
  • Envelopes
  • Printed materials
  • Brochures
  • File folders
  • Letterhead products
  • Post-its
  • Junk mail
  • Hand written notes
  • Pads of paper
What you CANNOT shred:

  • Cardboard
  • Paper from medical supply packaging
  • Food or food containers
  • Wrappers
  • Glass
  • Metal sheets
  • Solid wood products
  • Solid plastics
  • Styrofoam or packing
  • Toner cartridges
  • Wet waste/garbage
  • Liquids
  • Towels and tissues
  • Aluminum cans
  • Binders (three ring binders)
