Everett Police were assisting the Regional Task Force and other agencies involved in the raid.

Around noon MyEverettNews.com began receiving reports of SWAT activity in the 1800 block of McDougall in north Everett.

We checked with Aaron Snell at Everett Police and he told us that there is an ongoing investigation involving the Snohomish Regional Drug & Gang Task Force who had obtained a search warrant related to drugs and guns for a house in the 1800 block of McDougall.

Due to the nature of the investigation, the regional SWAT team was called in to serve the warrant.

So far one person has been arrested in connection with the case. Others may have been detained.

Snell says it appears a second search warrant is being obtained for the house and detectives from several agencies are expected to be there for some time today.

Snell said he had no other information on what detectives may be looking for and the investigation in ongoing.

Neighbors living in the McDougall neighborhood have been coming to the Everett City Council meetings recently complaining about increased crime and problems in their area.
