The man behind this sign is now running a write-campaign for Mayor of Everett.

Gary Watts, the owner of ZSport Auto Repair caused quite a stir with his sign on Broadway saying “Welcome to Tweakerville” Everett, Washington back on July 26th.

He followed that up a week later by installing a live feed of cameras mounted on his shop at 36th and Smith that he called “Tweaker Cam” which were viewed around the world.

Today Watts went to the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office and paid the filing fee of $1822.22 and registered as a write-in candidate for Mayor of Everett, Washington. According to Garth Fell, Elections and Recording Manager for Snohomish County, Watts name will not appear on the ballot or in the voter’s guide. The write-in votes will not be counted individually unless there are obvious indications that they may yield the winner.

As MyEverettNews.com has done with the other candidates in Everett races, here is the press release provided by Watts announcing his write in campaign.

Gary Watts

Gary Watts says he is serious about his write in campaign for Mayor of Everett, Washington.

Gary Watts, owner of the Z Sport Automotive stores and the recently annointed Mayor of Tweakerville and the keeper of the now famous Tweakercam YouTube network channel, has filed as a WRITE IN CANDIDATE, for the job of Everett Mayor.

Mr.Watts has been an Everett resident for 43 years, owned local businesses in Everett for the past 35 years and is a retired Boeing Manager with notable accomplishments.

His entry into the Mayor’s race is driven by the failure of the two surviving primary candidates to address crime, in particular crimes against property, in Everett’s residential and business neighborhoods. These candidates have failed to acknowledge that Everett’s crime crisis is directly related to the number of drug addicts, pushers and prostitutes that the city allows to roam our neighborhoods, parks and business areas.

The citizens of this fine city are up in arms over drug addicts, their needles, their crimes and the mess created by their lifestyle which the citizens pay for everyday ….. not just in taxes but the lost productivity of the police, fire department and city cleanup crews babysitting their mostly illegal activities.

If the citizens of Everett see fit to elect me and with their help we will find a way, and yes we have the political will, to make Everett a much safer place to live, work and to do business.

Please remember that Judy Tuohy and Cassie Franklin are products of the existing city government, both are sitting city council members. It’s one thing to address politically correct issues, which they have no problem doing. it’s another to take on the real problems facing our citizens.

You can rely on Gary Watts to balance the city budget, to support the Everett Fire Department fire Department, the Everett Police Department, The development of new businesses and new high paying jobs, City council districts, Term limits for the Mayor and Council Members, A new and expanded program to support non drug addicted homeless
and mentally challenged. He supports diversity in our neighborhoods and city government.

Once you get to know Gary and his history as a business developer and executive, His civic involvement and his 40 years of participation in activities that directly benefit Everett and its citizens you will want him as your Mayor.

Gary Watts is laser sharp and the most focused individual any of us here at Z Sport have ever worked around …… If you need something accomplished, and it’s important, He’s your man.

This message is approved by Gary Watts with thanks to his team of great employees.

Watts assured MyEverettNews.com that this is a serious run for office and said he plans to spend thousands of dollars to reach voters and get them to write his name in their ballot.
