The force of the crash sent the pedestrian into the back seat.

The northbound lanes of Airport Road were closed at 128th street for a couple of hours Saturday night after a crash between a pizza delivery car and a pedestrian at Center Road and Airport Road in front of Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse.

Detectives from the Everett Police Traffic Unit were called to try and determine the dynamics of the crash.

What is known is that a Honda CRV driven by a 32-year-old Everett man working as a pizza delivery driver was going north on Airport Road around 8:30 PM when he hit a 56-year-old Everett man who was in the roadway.

The impact of the crash sent the pedestrian thru the windshield and into the back seat of the Honda.

The driver of the Honda was unhurt but the pedestrian had to be taken out of the back of the car and was transported by medics to Providence Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Everett Police say the Honda driver did not appear to be impaired and is cooperating with police. The Honda was impounded by detectives for further investigation.
