Car vs. Pedestrian Crash Shuts 19th SE At Silver Lake

Editor’s Update Tuesday Aug 22nd 11:35 AM: Sad to report that Everett Police spokesman Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com the pedestrian, who was a 68-year-old man, passed away last night. The crash remains under investigation by Everett Police.

The southbound lanes of 19th SE were closed for about 90 minutes.

The man was taken to Providence with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses talk with Everett Police

Southbound 19th Avenue SE was closed after a car-pedestrian crash Monday night at the north end of Silver Lake.

A man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in the southbound lanes of 19th SE across from the Lotus Lounge.

While there is a crosswalk in the area it is not known at this time if the man was in the crosswalk or not.

Traffic detectives from the Everett Police Traffic Investigations Unit are looking into the case and the driver is cooperating with police.
