There’s even a name for those expected to attend, Funatics! Wetmore will be closed between Everett Avenue and Hewitt for entertainment stages, food trucks, signings, beer garden and other activities. In order to tour the new HQ and check out the store you will need a ticket. Ticket distribution begins at 7:00 AM at Wetmore Plaza by the fountain. The ribbon cutting and speeches begin at 9:30 AM with the store opening at 10:00 AM. At 11:00 AM the signings begin along with the food trucks and more activities. Click here for more.

drone racing

Doors open at 11:00 AM

Drone Racing. For the first time ever the Pro Aerial League presents team drone racing inside Xfinity Arena at Everett. The Professional Aerial League features six teams, consisting of six pilots on each team. They will be competing in individual, team, and relay events where the overall team score determines the winner. In addition promoters say they have focused on the spectator experience, which means you’ll be able to view all of the racing action from your seats. You’ll also have access to a wide variety of entertainment — each ticket includes unlimited use of in-arena activities such as laser tag, virtual reality, dodgeball, Nerf Rival Assault, and drone flight simulators. You can even learn how to fly a drone! The doors open at 11:00 AM and cost is $28.00.

Fresh Paint. The annual festival of artists at work happens all along the promenade at the Port of Everett south marina. The event is free and happens between 10 am and 5 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. In addition to more than 100 artists crafting before your eyes there are also food booths, a beer garden and live music. Click here to learn more.

Dahlia Show. The Snohomish County Dahlia Society will be presenting more than 2,500 dahlias as single blooms, triple blooms, 5-blooms, in baskets and in artistic arrangements. Prizes are awarded to winning entries and the show runs Saturday from 1 PM – 6 PM and Sunday from 10 AM – 4:30 PM. There is no charge to attend.
