Everett Police Looking For Audi A3 That Destroyed Everett Sign

Everett

welcome to Everett

This is apparently the rear bumper of an Audi A3.

welcome sign

This is a hit and run with a damage estimate of $20k

Earlier this week we told you that the Everett sign on north Broadway just south of the Snohomish River was destroyed by a car and the bumper left at the scene.

Everett Police tell MyEverettNews.com based on the bumper and pieces left behind, the vehicle is a silver 2005-2007 Audi A3.

We first reported it was a front bumper but we were wrong. It was the rear bumper and because of that there was no license plate attached as it is mounted on the lift gate on this model. Everett Police think someone may has seen this car over the last couple of days.

While the rear bumper was ripped off and left at the scene, the front of the vehicle may be damaged as well. Anyone with information about this vehicle is asked to submit an online tip on the Everett Police website or call the tip line at 425-257-8450.

The City of Everett says the damage to the sign is around $20,000.00 so they’d really like to find the responsible party.
