A look at how close the home and condos were to the burning garage.

A raging fire destroyed an unattached garage and a couple of cars in the 1900 block of 112th Street SW early Wednesday morning. Fire crews from Everett Fire with mutual aid from Fire District 1 did a fantastic job keeping the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

The fire was reported shortly after 3:30 AM.

Arriving Everett Police officers began evacuating nearby homes as flames were shooting fifteen feet into the air. 112th Street SW was shut down between Evergreen Way and Airport Road while firefighters worked.

An investigator is now on scene trying to determine the cause. Here are some MyEverettNews.com photos taken at the scene. Click photo to enlarge. (may not be used without written permission)
