Sprinkler System Stops Fire At Downtown Everett Apartments
Sprinklers had put out the fire prior to the arrival of the first engine.
An automatic sprinkler system stopped a fire at the Oakes Commons apartment complex Monday night. Shortly after 11 PM fire was reported in a third floor apartment at 3125 Oakes Avenue.
Arriving Everett Fire crews found the sprinkler system was activated and that extinguished the fire. In addition to the fire unit two other units suffered water damage. The Red Cross was called to assist two families with housing for the night. A fire investigator is on scene. No word yet on the cause.
