.An infant riding in the back of a Chevy Suburban was sent to Harborview Hospital after a crash in the northbound park and ride lot at 112th and I-5 in south Everett.

The crash happened around 1 PM when the Suburban with a man, woman, child and infant inside was stopped at a stop sign at the north end of the park and ride lot.

A silver Lexus came off of I-5 at a very high rate of speed and traveled through the park and ride slamming into the back of the Suburban.

After the crash, the driver of the Lexus reportedly tried to walk away down northbound I-5 but was found and detained by police.

The man and child in the Suburban were unhurt but the woman and infant were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. The infant has now been transferred to Harborview.

The northbound ramp of the park and ride was closed for about two hours as Everett Police investigated.

Here are some MyEverettNews.com photos of the scene. No further word on the extent of the injuries to the infant or the woman in the Suburban.
