Crash Briefly Blocks Access To Trestle

The SUV was eastbound when it hit the fence and flipped around.


Tow drivers were able to clear the scene before the afternoon rush.

A man is believed to have suffered a medical issue as he was driving east on Hewitt approaching the entrance to the Hewitt Avenue Trestle Friday afternoon.

The silver SUV hit a curb then fencing before spinning and flipping onto its side just after 1:00 PM.

The driver was briefly trapped and Everett Firefighters removed the SUV’s windshield to free him.

He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center by medic unit.

Crews were able to right the SUV and clear the debris before the start of the afternoon rush.
