This Durango hit a car at 526 and Evergreen and then went across Evergreen, back onto 526 and into the woods.
Everett Police Spokesman Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com that a man was in front of his house on Grant Drive around 1:45 PM Friday afternoon when he was confronted by at least two men.
They forced him into his house at gunpoint. There was some confrontation inside the house and the man managed to escape to a neighbor’s.
As police arrived in the area a grey Dodge Durango was seen leaving and there was also a report of two men running.
Minutes later the Durango got into a crash with a car at Spokane and Broadway taking out a mailbox shelter.
The Durango then went onto westbound 526, exited at Evergreen crashing into another car and then right back onto 526 where it ran off the freeway into the woods.
Two people were seen running from the Durango. Everett Police flooded the area and brought in a K-9 and two different people were detained. One in the parking lot of the old K-Mart and the other on Barbara Lane.
Everett Police are now working to determine their involvement with the Durango and the home invasion on Grant Drive as well as whether or not there were other suspects at the Grant Drive house.
Everett Police are also trying to determine why the residents on Grant Drive were targeted. The Durango was impounded and police will get a search warrant to check it out.
At this point, detectives have many more questions than answers.
