Officers are trying to sort out exactly what happened in this shooting in central Everett.

Tonight Everett Police have more questions than answers following a shooting in central Everett.

The initial story is the incident reportedly began in the parking lot of the KushMart marijuana store on Evergreen Way when a black Nissan with several people began following a BMW that had just left the store.

The two cars drove around south central Everett and at some point a passenger in the Nissan fired a gun at the BMW hitting it at least once. The BMW sped off.

The Nissan’s driver then stopped and made three passengers get out of his car and took back off after the BMW.

At that point one of the people kicked out of the car reportedly fired a shot at the Nissan flattening a back tire.

The Nissan and BMW ended up in the parking lot of Popeye’s in the 6500 block of Evergreen Way where there was an altercation and police were called.

The Nissan has been impounded by Everett Police, the driver detained and major crimes detectives have been called out to investigate the shooting. Luckily there were no serious injuries.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the two cars together Wednesday night and noticed something unusual to call their tip line at 425-257-8450.
