The officer was hit in this parking lot off Broadway.

Everett Police yesterday arrested the woman suspected of intentionally hitting an Everett Police officer with her car Tuesday afternoon.

According to probable cause paperwork filed with the Everett District Court, on Tuesday an Everett Police officer on foot spotted a woman doing drugs in a parking lot in the 2600 block of Broadway.

The officer took out a camera and began filming the woman. She noticed him, backed her car up and then drove at him hitting him with the right front bumper. She then accelerated toward the officer knocked him down with the car’s side mirror.

The officer was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center and later released.

Police officers looked at the photos the officer was able to take before being hit and one recognized the woman and her car. The woman had an outstanding warrant out for her arrest.

On Wednesday the suspect’s grandmother called Everett Police with information about the woman. Yesterday Everett Police officers went to eastern Washington and arrested the 28-year-old woman. Today a judge found probable cause for 2nd degree assault and set bail at $50k. The woman’s next court hearing is set for Monday.
