The woman in the back sear of this car was killed in the crash while the driver ran away.

His driver’s license was suspended, he may have been high, he may have thought the cops were chasing him.

Whatever the reason, the man suspected of crashing his car and then running away while one of his friends died in the back seat is not speaking with police.

He is sitting in the Snohomish County Jail on $250k bail.

This afternoon an Everett District Court judge found probable cause to hold the 30-year-old Lynnwood man on suspicion of vehicular homicide and hit and run injury after a one car crash Friday night on Hardeson Road in Everett.

In arguing for the high bail a deputy prosecutor told the court the suspect has 3 prior felonies and two dozen misdemeanors.

A 38-year-old woman seated in the back seat died at Providence Regional Medical Center from her injuries and a 39-year-old man suffered serious injuries after the car left the roadway and hit a rockery around 8:15 Friday night.

The suspect was found about two hours after the crash by a police K-9 after a neighbor spotted him coming out of his garage a couple of blocks from the crash scene.

The County now has three days to file charges against the suspect or release him from jail.

As of this writing the Snohomish County Medical Examiner has not released the identify of the woman who was killed.
