A Classic 1962 Chevrolet is going to need a lot of restoration work after catching fire in a central Everett garage Sunday night.
About 8:15 PM the owner of the car went to start it inside the garage and it immediately caught fire.
He was able to get out of the car, exit the garage and call 9-1-1.
A fast response from the crew of Engine 4 led to a quick knock-down of the fire.
Support from additional Everett Fire crews as they arrived kept the fire mostly contained to the car and one wall of the garage.
The fire did not spread into the house though there will be a fair amount of smoke damage.
There were no injuries. The fire happened in the 200 block of 59th SE in central Everett.
As it was relatively close to our offices, MyEverettNews.com was able to get some good pictures of the quick stop and containment by Everett Firefighters.
