Everett Police are still trying to determine the circumstances surrounding a stabbing at the Everett Transit Center at 32nd and Smith Street today. There are few details but MyEverettNews.com can confirm that:

  • Around 11:00 AM a Sheriff’s Transit Deputy reported a stabbing at one of the bus bays
  • A male victim was stabbed and had life-threatening injuries
  • The suspect ran westbound
  • Transit officers and medics provided aid to the victim and he was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center
  • Everett Police located the suspect near 33rd and McDougall
  • The suspect was taken into custody without incident
  • A knife was recovered

There is no word at this time on the condition of the victim.

The suspect has been taken to the Everett Police north precinct for questioning.

The transit center is back to normal operations. Busses and trains are running as scheduled.
