There are voluntary subscriptions and donations from readers who know that we need the help in order to provide the breaking news coverage that no one else does in Everett and there is self funding by me with funds from separate projects.

The time used to gather and report is mine. There is no salary and the site is independent.
We don’t endorse political candidates but do publish their releases in their own words.
We do accept political advertising and consider sponsored stories on a case by case basis and identify them as sponsored stories.
People still want to know why the police or fire department were in their neighborhood.
We also see something interesting to us while driving down the road and decide to share that. Sometimes people like it, sometimes they don’t.
