15 homes on 17th Avenue West south of Hollowdale are out of service this morning as Public Works crews repair a failed gasket on an 8-inch valve connection.

Service is expected to be restored by late morning. No property damage was reported.

Homes that were without service should run their water for up to 30 minutes to clear any turbidity from the lines once service resumes. Though water may appear discolored, it is safe to use and drink.

Friday two lines were broken. One in the 2800 block of Grand and the other in the 500 block of Hawthorne.

Thursday a water line broke on State Street just south of Wednesday’s break.

Wednesday a water main broke in the 1900 block of State Street.

Tuesday a water line broke in the Glenhaven neighborhood of west Everett.

Monday a water main broke in the 3500 block of Oakes.
