Editor’s Update Wednesday Jan 4th 9:20 AM: The 32-year-old Everett man arrested yesterday is expected to make his first court appearance this afternoon. According to probable cause documents the suspect lived in the address on Hoyt and went there right after the robbery, changed clothes and spoke with officers as they were searching the area. He was identified by surveillance photos taken from the bank as well as at least one witness.
It happened around 11:00 AM when a lone male robbed the bank and then ran west toward Hoyt.
Witnesses pointed out the area in the 2900 block of Hoyt where they believe the robber ran and the area quickly filled with Everett Police.
For a time Hoyt was closed between Wall and Hewitt as Everett Police searched the area across the street from Schack Art Center with help from a K-9 from Lynnwood PD.
The suspect was located in a building in the 2900 block of Hoyt and taken into custody without incident.
He was identified by witnesses and taken to the Everett Police north precinct to speak with detectives before being booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
