It was quite a scene in downtown Everett after the Union Bank at Colby and Hewitt was robbed this morning.

It happened around 11:00 AM when a lone male robbed the bank and then ran west toward Hoyt.

Witnesses pointed out the area in the 2900 block of Hoyt where they believe the robber ran and the area quickly filled with Everett Police.

For a time Hoyt was closed between Wall and Hewitt as Everett Police searched the area across the street from Schack Art Center with help from a K-9 from Lynnwood PD.

The suspect was located in a building in the 2900 block of Hoyt and taken into custody without incident.

He was identified by witnesses and taken to the Everett Police north precinct to speak with detectives before being booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
