Just a heads up that when the Everett Animal Shelter opens for 2017 it will be an hour later. Here’s a notice put out by the city on the change…

The Everett Animal Shelter will begin its first day of the New Year with a time change. Effective Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2017, the shelter’s daily hours will begin at 11 a.m. instead of 10 a.m.

The shelter will still remain open until 5 p.m., and will serve the public seven days a week, excluding holidays.

The Everett Animal Shelter cares for approximately 5,000 animals each year within Everett city limits, while working with nearby organizations to provide the best possible care for the animals. To see the animals available for adoption, learn more about licensing and micro chipping pets or to see how to become a shelter volunteer, please visit www.everettwa.gov/animals.
