Fire crews cut holes in the roof of this house on Silver Lake to vent the fire.

It was a very busy Christmas Day for the Everett Fire Department with 3 structure fires in 24 hours.

First was a cooking fire that burned the back porch at a house in the 8100 block of Beverly Boulevard.
That happened around 3:30 PM. The fire was contained to the back porch and there were no injuries.

The second fire was an unattached garage next to the alley behind a house in the 1200 block of Lombard in north Everett. That was reported shortly after 8:30 PM.

The garage was heavily damaged but crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to the house a few feet away.

The third fire involved a house in the 1800 block of Silver Lake Road on the edge of Silver Lake in south Everett. That fire was reported at 1:30 AM. No details were available on that fire but the house suffered major damage.

All this in addition to multiple aid calls, a natural gas leak, several “man down” calls, some false fire alarms and a car crash.
