M.E. Identifies Man Shot By Lynnwood Officer in Everett

The S.M.A.R.T. team is investigating the shooting.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner issued the following identification tonight in Saturday night’s shooting on Grand Avenue involving a Lynnwood Police Officer and an Everett man.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the identification and examination of a 44-year old male who was in an officer-involved shooting in the 3900 block of Grand Avenue in Everett on December 17, 2016. The decedent is Chassady LeClair of Everett, WA. The cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death is Homicide.

The shooting is under investigation by the Snohomish Multiple Agency Response Team made up of investigators from several area law enforcement agencies. The Lynnwood Police Officer who fired the fatal shots is on paid administrative leave.
