Public Works crews are replacing their second broken water line of the day.

For the second time today a six inch water line has broken. This time on Monte Cristo Drive in the Eastmont area of southeast Everett. Here’s the notice just in from Public Works…

Public Works crews responded to a break in a 6-inch cast iron water main at 8718 Monte Cristo Drive at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14. The break affects service to 34 customers and is known to have damaged one home. The line, built in 1964, is being repaired, and crews estimate service should be restored around 12 a.m., Thursday. Once service is restored, residents should run their water until it is clear before use.
