Man Hit, Killed On Grand Avenue

Editors Update Friday December 9th 6:45AM: The driver was a woman in her 30s and has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of Vehicular Homicide and Driving While License Suspended. She should have her first court appearance this afternoon.

A man working on his car was hit and died at the scene in the 3800 block of Grand Avenue Thursday night.

According to Everett Police spokesman Aaron Snell a man in his 50s was working on his car in front of his house.

A Jeep was going north on Grand and hit the man and a car parked next to the street, ending up in the yard of a nearby house.

Family members and then Everett Firefighters performed CPR on the man but were unable to revive him.

The woman driving the Jeep was arrested by Everett Police on suspicion of DUI.

Grand is closed between 39th and 37th for the investigation by Everett Police traffic detectives.

Weather was not a factor in the crash.
