Sad, but likely the right decision. Everett Farmers Market cancelled for this Sunday. Here are the details from the market managers…
Due to the current weather systems affecting the Puget Sound area, we regrettably need to inform you that the Everett Farmers Market will be closed for its final day of the 2016 Season, October 16.
Spanning twenty-three years, this will be the first time in the Market’s history, managers have taken this difficult action, so you see; we really are all about remaining open for you, our loyal customers, rain or shine. Except that this time, winds forecast to be strong enough to topple or send canopies flying, will prevent us from opening. Our first and foremost goal every Sunday from the arrival of the first vendor on is the community’s safety: vendors, shoppers, and Market Staff alike. The Everett Farmers Market wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to Everett and surrounding community for your continued and unwavering support during our first year in our new temporary location at the Port of Everett. We look forward to seeing all of you again during the 2017 Season. But wait, there’s more: The Port’s annual Holiday on the Bay celebration, December 3rd, will include for the first time, a “2 day” Everett Farmers Market Holiday Store December 3rd & 4th, for your Holiday shopping pleasure. Stay tuned for upcoming notices regarding this family oriented event. In closing, and on behalf of all of our wonderful vendors and staff, thanks again for an outstanding year of the Everett Farmers Market at Boxcar Park, Port of Everett Karen Erickson & Gary Purves and the Everett Farmers Market Staff |
