Everett police today provided the following update on the shooting of a 15-year-old boy Monday night…

The shooting occurred in front of these apartments.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit continue their investigation into the shooting of a 15 year-old male on Casino Road.

At about 7:50 p.m. on October 10th, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of W Casino Rd when numerous people reported hearing gunfire in the area. Arriving officers found a 15 year-old male with a gunshot wound in serious condition. The teen was immediately transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett – Colby Campus and later moved to Harborview Medical Center.

Detectives responded to the scene where they collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. Initial reports indicated the shoot escalated from an argument and included a drive-by shooting. At this point, detectives have not confirmed either assertion nor has the incident been linked to gangs.

Casino Road was closed for several hours during the investigation.

There are no updates on the teen’s medical condition.
