A 15-year-old boy was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center after being shot in front of an apartment complex in the 900 block of Casino Road.

Everett Police PIO Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com about 7:50 PM calls started coming in of multiple shots fired. Arriving officers found a 15-year-old had been shot at least once.

Medics took him to the hospital but the extent of his injuries is not known at this time. Patrol officers have shut down Casino Road in both directions while the investigation is underway. Westbound traffic is being diverted onto 8th Ave. West. Eastbound traffic is being turned around at Walter Hall Golf Course.

No word on when the road will re-open. Major crimes detectives are arriving on the scene. We’ll provide further updates once they have been confirmed and made available.
