October 10, 2016

Everett, Police Blotter

The shooting occurred in front of these apartments.

Officers look for evidence.

A 15-year-old boy was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center after being shot in front of an apartment complex in the 900 block of Casino Road.

Everett Police PIO Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com about 7:50 PM calls started coming in of multiple shots fired. Arriving officers found a 15-year-old had been shot at least once.

Medics took him to the hospital but the extent of his injuries is not known at this time. Patrol officers have shut down Casino Road in both directions while the investigation is underway. Westbound traffic is being diverted onto 8th Ave. West. Eastbound traffic is being turned around at Walter Hall Golf Course.

No word on when the road will re-open. Major crimes detectives are arriving on the scene. We’ll provide further updates once they have been confirmed and made available.

This is horrible! Where are the parents? Where is the community support? Politicians can’t do it ALL! They need community support. A neighborhood coalition maybe. A group of adults who actually cares for these kids. Maybe just maybe a little good could go a long way.

Wa-Fix hasn’t provided one “source” for his facts. Racial profiling and pulling people over for “tail light issues” are certainly racist. Patrolling a high area of crime is just smart.

    • Wa-fix Says:

If your tail light isn’t working, is it illegal or racist for a cop to pull that person over? The answer: no.
Patrolling a high area crime is absolutely smart however do consider it is being block by liberal democrats because of race reasons.

Gang related no doubt and you Wafix are full of it

Another day another shooting near Casino Road. Vote every one of these worthless politicians out of office.

    • jordan Says:

because politicians have to do with socio-economic woes? cheap rent=societies dregs. deal with it.

      • Wa-fix Says:

Oh this is completely preventable and a tougher police force would immeditely cut down the shootings on Casino Road. The problem is that the liberals have literally said patrols on Casino are not allowed because it is “racist” to go into “minority” neighborhoods. Sorry, this isn’t a race issue unless you inject race into it like the Democrats do. This is a crime issue and it can be solved it it was actually treated like a criminal issue.

      • skankhunt42 Says:

Did you just say politics have nothing to do with socio-economic problems?

        Yah right!!!

      • Bourne Says:

        Why yes. Yes he did.

The Mexican and Asian gangs in this area are breeding and alive and strong because of the welfare system. Their parents aren’t capable of creating well respecting citizens. They think they are owed something. Get all of this trash out of here and turn it into nice apartments for Boeing etc workers. Move this trash to marysville. Most of these non contributors are scamming yh systems and creating offspring that in turn give nothing but only take take take.

  6. Wa-fix Says:

I’ve said it for a long time, AT ALL TIMES a dedicated police officer needs to be patrolling and only patrolling Casino Road. Waste our money on homeless problems that can be solved with free bus passes to Seattle rather than our minority youth being shot. Democrats are racist, end of story

    • John Says:

Has nothing to do with politics. This crap happens because it does and always has. It’s just in your little back yard and your little mind can’t justify why so it turns to finger pointing.

      • Wa-fix Says:

Oh no, I know exactly why this is occurring and it is completely preventable if it was treated as a common criminal occurrence. Whether you like it or not, it is a liberal democrat activist who denounce the police from patrolling Casino road. The same thing happens in Mill Creek with the Heatherwood West apartments, instead of going where the crime is the Democrats have fought to keep the police out of there because of “race” reasons.

Yes, its sad he got shot. Its sad his younger brother got shot a few weeks ago. They live right next to me and are known drug dealers. The youngest boy was carrying a gun when he got shot. Its beyond crazy. Things weren’t bad until they moved in.
