Everett Police are looking for a woman after a man was shot in north Everett this morning. The shooting happened shortly before 7:00 AM in the 2300 block of Colby. That’s just a block north of Everett High School. Police say the shooting was not believed to be related in any way to the school but as the shooting scene was so close to the school the school was placed into lockdown and students were taken to the gym. Arriving busses were re-routed to Everett Memorial Stadium. A K-9 was brought in to search for the suspect. She was described as a white female with blonde hair wearing a red hoodie and black sweat pants. The K-9 track was not successful in locating her but some evidence was recovered. Opening of Immaculate Conception school was delayed until 9:00 AM.

We’ll provide more details as they become available but everything is back to normal at Everett High.
