Expect to see the crew of the Gridley manning the rails into Everett a bit later then planned.

USS Gridley Arrival in Everett Delayed

Naval Station Everett, Wash. – The arrival of the USS Gridley (DDG 101) at her new homeport of Naval Station Everett has been delayed due to a change in her operational schedule. As a result, the ship will not be arriving in Everett tomorrow as initially planned. Gridley’s new arrival date will soon be announced.

Gridley was formerly stationed at Naval Base San Diego. She is the first of four destroyers that will shift homeport to Everett, Washington over the next year. Most of the ship’s crew and their families have already moved to the area.

Naval Station Everett is committed to supporting Navy and Coast Guard service members and appreciates the flexibility of community stakeholders during fluctuations in ship operations and schedules.
