Major crimes detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are looking for information about a man who may have been injured last night after being assaulted and/or shot near the Walgreen’s on 4th Ave West. Witnesses report that the altercation took place around 9 p.m. between a black male driving a silver Audi and a white male passenger in the car. Gunshots were heard and the driver pulled the passenger out of the car through the driver-side door. The driver assaulted the passenger and then drove off. The passenger fled the area on foot. Blood was found at the scene near Walgreen’s, as well as a blood trail leaving the scene. Containment was set and K9 units conducted a search, but victim was not located.

Deputies located the vehicle at the 700 block of 128th St SW with a driver that matched witness descriptions. The 35 year-old suspect had outstanding warrants and was taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle and felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputies recovered a gun from the car, as well as spent bullet casings. There were small traces of blood in and outside of the vehicle and evidence of a bullet exiting the car.
