The Lexus driver likely never saw the man coming.

The eastbound lanes of Everett Mall Way were shut down after a strange incident Saturday afternoon.

Everett Police are still investigating but reports are a man ran right into traffic on Everett Mall Way after an altercation with several others.

He ended up directly in the path of a silver Lexus going eastbound near the Big Foot Java stand in the 900 block. The man bounced off the Lexus and fell onto the street.

Medics took the man to Providence Regional Medical Center in what appeared to be very serious condition.

The driver of the Lexus did stop after the crash and is cooperating with Everett Police. Patrol officers are working the investigation and we’ll bring you any updates Monday as they become available.
