A successful Puyallup businesswoman with 22 years in the car business is the driving force behind the return of new Chevrolets to Everett, Washington.

Shannon Harnish-Cook has spent the past several years working to make Chevrolet of Everett a reality. First there was Sevenich Chevrolet on Rucker in downtown Everett. Later, Pignataro and Harrington operated the Chevy brand in Everett. Everett Chevrolet operated in the 7300 block of Evergreen Way in central Everett for years before closing in 2009. That left Everett without a new Chevrolet dealership until Chevrolet of Everett opened during the last week of December, 2015. Today marked the official grand opening with a ribbon cutting, live music, food and prizes.

There was food, live music, a car show and lots of drawings.

When General Motors decided to take applications to return Chevrolet to Everett, Harnish (who operates Chevrolet of Puyallup along with three other dealerships) decided to apply to open Chevrolet of Everett.
One thing that may have helped Harnish get the nod over other dealers was her insistence on building a brand new modern facility and not simply remodeling the existing property.

It’s about family…

Harnish-Cook’s father Keith has been in the car business for forty years. Prior to that he was a civil engineer. With that background he helped plan and design the new dealership. Shannon’s husband Scott was the general contractor on the multi-million dollar project.

Harnish-Cook says one thing that has made her a successful businesswoman is her focus on family. While there are multiple relatives involved in the Harnish Auto business, the concept is about family. From employees to customers, treating both like family has led to success.

“This is a business about trust,” said Keith Harnish. “90 percent of the car buyers today have done their research online, what we do is give superior customer service and earn their trust, which makes it a great relationship.”

It’s part of what General Manager Cline Davis is calling their stress-free way of doing business. “We don’t just say we care; we show it with our stress free experience with each and every guest,” Davis said. “Our goal is to exceed your expectations at every touch point throughout our dealership in hopes that we can create another customer of our store for life.”

Chevrolet of Everett has over 400 vehicles to choose from with a covered parking garage, 18 service bays, and a covered. heated delivery area. They’re open seven days a week and offer free oil changes for life. You can learn more on their website at Chevrolet of Everett.com.
