Everett Police and Sheriff’s Deputies check the house where the woman called and said she’d been assaulted.

A wanted felon from California was taken into custody by Everett Police and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies after spending the day allegedly committing multiple felonies.

It started this morning with a report of a stolen Land Rover. Then there was a report of a domestic violence assault in central Everett.

Later there was another report of a domestic situation on Beech street and as officers arrived to that, the Land Rover sped off ignoring an officer’s lights and siren. Per Everett Police pursuit policy, the officers did not chase the suspect through the streets of Everett.

This evening police received a call from a woman who said she had been assaulted by the suspect in a house in the 3800 block of Hoyt. She was hiding from the suspect and whispering into the phone.

Everett Police responded and found the stolen SUV at the back of the house. Police surrounded the house and closed off Hoyt between 38th and 39th street.

Officers repeatedly used a P.A. system to get people to come out of the house. After about 30 minutes several men, women and children came out of the house and were contacted by officers.

Police took the suspect into custody without incident and booked him into the Snohomish County Jail on multiple felony charges and an outstanding felony warrant out of California. A SWAT team was placed on alert but was not put into action.
