construction noise

This entrance is closed for the summer for installation of a new canopy. Pile driving will start Monday.

Construction noise may bother a few folks next week who live in the area of Naval Station Everett. Specifically pile driving for a new shelter at the main entrance to the Navy base. Here’s a heads up from Kristin Ching on what will be happening...

This is an update to the construction on Naval Station Everett’s main gate, which is closed through September 2016. The base is notifying the community that the pile driving phase of this construction project will begin on June 13 and will last approximately four days.

Construction crews normally work between the hours of 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., but there may be occasional exceptions. The pile driving work will be conducted within this timeframe as much as possible. No work will be performed during the weekend.

Piles are necessary to support the foundation of the new canopy over the base’s main gate. The canopy will provide additional weather protection for sentries at their stations.

Naval Station Everett is working hard to keep disruptions to base personnel and the local community at a minimum.

We greatly appreciate the patience and understanding of our local Everett neighbors as we strive to ensure this important project is completed in a safe and timely manner.

If you have any questions, please contact the base public affairs office at 425-304-3202.
