Everett Cops Nab Stolen SUV Napper

The suspected thief gets a surprise wake up from officers.

The motorcycle officer checks for any other occupants of the Bronco.

The suspected thief is given a ride to a new place where he can catch up on his sleep.
Yesterday we told you about the
car theft suspect who tried to run from Everett cops and an SCSO K-9 after dumping a stolen car.
It did not turn out well for him.
Today we found an even faster way for a vehicle thief to get caught.
Falling asleep in the stolen vehicle while parked along the side of the road.
About 2:30 this afternoon an Everett Police Motorcycle officer came across a Ford Bronco which had been reported stolen.
This was in the 5900 block of Beverly Lane. The motorcycle cop pulled up behind the SUV, looked inside and saw a man sleeping behind the wheel.
Backup officers arrived quickly and quietly and the suspected thief got a rude awakening, along with a trip to a new place to nap.
Another great job by sharp-eyed Everett Police in dealing with a less than sharp vehicle theft suspect.
