This is the week McClain Insurance holds their annual flag exchange.

Flag exchange

Not only will you receive a new flag but your old flag will be retired with dignity and respect.

For the past 7 years Claudia McClain and her staff have accepted worn out flags and exchanged them for brand new flags.

There is no limit to the number of used flags you can bring in but you can only get one new flag.

Last year McClain retired 170 flags and gave away 109 new flags. All of the worn flags are respectfully retired in a ceremony conducted by local Boy Scouts.

“Our goal is to help Snohomish County residents showcase their American spirit this Flag Day and beyond,” said McClain Insurance owner Claudia McClain. “Our deepest thanks go out to those who serve and have fought in defense of our freedom.”

McClain Insurance proudly gives away flags made in America. According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 90% of American flags are imported.

Other ways you can participate in the flag exchange:
– On June 14, display your American flag in celebration of Flag Day.
– Help us spread the world. Share your flag pictures on social media with the hashtag #mcclainflagexchange.

McClain Insurance also has handheld flags and patriotic glasses for kids who stop by.

McClain Insurance Services is located on 19th Ave. S.E. just south of Costco.
10410 19th Ave SE #100 Everett, WA 98208
