Shortly after 12:30 this afternoon multiple people began calling in a series of brush fires along Interstate 5 between 52nd and 80th.
Everett Fire Engines 1 and 2 both handled multiple hot spots as State Troopers shut down the right lane.
The fires were put out quickly but with forecast highs in the upper 80s the next two days this could be the start of a very long hot summer for Everett Firefighters.
No words on the cause of today’s fires but please don’t throw anything flammable from your vehicle.
