Editor’s Update Thursday April 28th 4:30 PM: This afternoon Everett Police released the following information…

The Major Crimes Unit is investigating two bank robberies that occurred days apart in South Everett.

Just before 5 p.m. on March 21st, a man entered the Silverlake KeyBank (1902 110th St SE), approached a teller and demanded money. He stated it was a robbery but did not display a weapon. After getting cash, the male ran eastbound on 110th St SE. Officers contained the area and attempted a K-9 track but were unable to locate the suspect.

The male is described as white, in his 40’s, wearing a white wig and glasses.

On March 26th at about 4:15 p.m., a man approached a teller at Coastal Community Bank (10520 19th Ave SE), displayed a silver revolver and demanded money. After getting cash, the man ran out of the bank and left in a blue Honda Accord. Officers located the vehicle at the nearby Artesia by the Lake Apartments (11225 19th Ave SE) and contained the area. A K-9 track was attempted but the male and getaway driver were not located.

The male is described as an adult, white, with long dark hair that appeared to be wig. He wore a LA baseball cap, sunglasses, bandana over his face, purple sweatshirt, blue jeans, and gloves.

There is no description of the getaway driver.

It was determined the vehicle had been stolen during the day and was impounded as evidence.

Detectives are investigating and it is unknown at this time if the two robberies are related.

Anyone with information about this incident or knows the suspect is asked to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.

bank robbery

A K-9 searched the area around the Silver Lake Key Bank last Thursday. Another K-9 track today was unsuccessful.

It’s too early to tell if a bank robbery this afternoon is connected to another last week in the Silver Lake area of south Everett. At 5:00PM Everett Police were called to the Coastal Community Bank at 105th and 19th Avenue SE. A lone male robbed the bank and then fled south. Police were able to get a description of the car and it was located in the apartments behind Safeway at 110th and 19th SE. The car has been impounded and detectives from Everett Police are working with the FBI to find the robber. Last Thursday afternoon the Key Bank at 110th and 19th SE was robbed and that robber ran in the direction of the apartments behind Safeway. At this point no photos or description have been made available. More information as we get it.
