A K-9 track was unsuccessful in locating the shooter.

No people hit but a car was struck twice in a robbery attempt in south Everett Sunday night.

Shortly after 9:00 PM a man was parking his car behind a restaurant at West Marilyn and Evergreen Way.

The man told Everett Police officers he was approached by a guy who demanded his wallet.

He ran away from the guy and as he was running he heard two shots.

The gunman took off on foot and when the victim circled back to his car he found two bullet holes in a rear door.

An Everett Police K-9 was called out but was unable to locate the shooter.

Patrol officers collected evidence at the scene and detectives will follow up on Monday.

The only description of the gunman was a white male in dark clothing.

Here are a couple of MyEverettNews.com photos from the scene.
