7:30AM UPDATE: The trestle and both directions of I-5 are all open. The fatal crash is when a vehicle crashed into the back of a DOT work truck on Northbound I-5. The vehicle burst into flames and the driver was killed. The DOT worker suffered minor injuries. The crash happened around 3:00AM. Currently the 3 rights lanes are open past the secne.
6:00AM UPDATE: There is a crash at the west end of the Hewitt Ave. Trestle blocking all lanes. Two separate crashes are blocking both southbound and northbound I-5 near 526.
Avoid I-5 in either direction near the Everett Mall. A fatal crash northbound just north of 526 happened around 3:00AM and is blocking multiple lanes. Now a rollover crash southbound I-5 just before 526 has 3 lanes blocked. Southbound I-5 traffic is backed up to Marysville. More to come as we get it.
