Everett’s 4th Fatal Fire Victim in 44 Days Identified

Smoke comes from the apartment window.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has identified the fatal fire victim at the Marnice Apartments on 75th street last week as 58-year-old Pavel Zhuk. The cause of death is listed as smoke inhalation and the manner of death is Accident.
Zhuk’s death on February 12th, marks the 4th time in 44 days someone has suffered what was ruled an accidental death due to a fire in Everett. No word from Everett Fire Department yet on the cause of the fire.

On December 31st, 65-year-old Mark Davis died in a 3-Alarm fire at the Bluffs Apartments on Casino Road. The cause of the fire was undetermined.

On January 7th, 25-year-old Courtney Campbell died in a fire at her Coffee Stand at 4th Ave. W and Everett Mall Way. The cause of the fire was an accidental release of propane.

On January 25th, 76-year-old Michael E. Elke died in a fire in a house on Ocean Avenue. No word from Everett Fire Department on the cause of the fire.
