Family of Five Displaced in North Everett House Fire
Smoke comes from the eaves of a house in the 1100 block of E. Marine View Drive.
Crews use a chain saw to open a vent hole in the roof.
A special tool is used to help open the vent hole after the initial cut of the chain saw.
The Battalion Chief gets updates and manages the fire attack.
Firefighters enter to put out hot spots.

Firefighters are hosed off in an initial decontamination.

A family of five is getting help from the Red Cross tonight following a house fire in the 1100 block of East Marine View Drive.
Smoke was reported coming from the eaves of a house shortly before 3:30 PM.
Fire was seen on the first floor and Everett Fire crews made an offensive attack.
Smoke and flames rose to the top of the house and crews cut ventilation holes in the roof.
There were no injuries and no one was home at the time of the fire.
An investigator is on scene trying to determine the cause.
