112th street was shut down for about 2 hours east of Evergreen Way

A horrible start to Christmas morning in Everett, WA today. Shortly after 7:00 AM a car going eastbound on 112th street at Evergreen collided head-on with a car coming out onto 112th from the AM-PM store.

Firefighters from Everett Fire with mutual aid from Fire District 1 had to use technical rescue tools to free each of the drivers from their cars. The driver of the silver car was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The driver of the black car was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

Traffic Investigators from Everett Police were handling the investigation.

Editor’s Note: While these may be upsetting images for Christmas morning I think its important to show the skill, training and dedication of our firefighters and police officers as they work to help people every day of the year. Including Christmas morning. LD
