I had to slam on my brakes for someone who decided to take a casual stroll across 4 lanes of traffic.

If you’re going to jaywalk, can you make you traffic is cleared?

It’s extremely problematic. I drive a big vehicle so it takes me longer to stop, and even if I did stop a jaywalker wouldn’t easily be able to see beyond me without poking their head over. Sometimes even if you do stop because you feel they’re too close they’ll just stand there anyway. They are completely unpredictable. There is NO winning. You just pass them and hope they don’t run into your lane.

Witnessed an Everett marked police cruiser hit his breaks hard dodging a crack head darting from QFC and gas station in North Everett a few nights ago. Cop didn’t even get on the horn nutn just kept on rolling. Now what if I hit them? What a tragic costly event to me and another burden for us taxpayers. Everett gives me PTSD.
