Editor’s Update 8:55 AM: Everett Police Spokesman Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com the person hit was a man who was crossing in an unmarked crosswalk. No word yet on his condition.

Officers begin their investigation.

A car vs. pedestrian crash sent one person to the hospital with life threatening injuries this morning.

It happened at 40th and Rucker. Everett Police traffic investigators are on scene and southbound Rucker traffic was being diverted at 38th street.

No word yet on whether the pedestrian was in the crosswalk but the driver is cooperating with Everett Police.
