Witnesses Sought In Drive-By Shooting on I-5 Thru Everett

Just got this press release in from the Washington State Patrol regarding a drive-by shooing on I-5 last night…

If you saw a shooting on I-5 Monday night the WSP would like to talk with you.

The Washington State Patrol Detectives in Marysville are investigating a drive-by shooting along the freeway. The shooting occurred Monday, December 14, 2015 at approximately 9:18 p.m. along I-5 between Marysville and Everett. The incident is being investigated as “road rage”.  During the drive-by, the victim’s vehicle was shot multiple times while traveling southbound on I-5.

The victim described the shooter as a white male with dark hair and side burns. He was traveling in a larger red pickup truck with a construction rack and a silver tool box in the bed. After the shooting, the pickup truck was observed driving in an erratic manner on southbound I-5 and west onto State Route 526 towards the Boeing Facility.  The suspect’s vehicle was observed passing several vehicles on the shoulder.

WSP detectives are seeking witnesses to the actual event of the shooting and/or any further description of the involved pickup truck.  If you witnessed or have any information about the shooting or pickup truck, or know someone who does, you are asked to call Detective Charles Sletten at 360-654-1144, or email him at charles.sletten@wsp.wa.gov.
