Events in Everett, Everett

There’s been a steady stream of pets and people posing with Santa today during the annual Santa Paws event at the Everett Animal Shelter.

Santa Paws

A family tradition continues.

For $20.00 you get a framed photo of your pet with Santa and yes, if your pet approves, you can also be in the photo. You also get a CD copy of the photo.

It doesn’t really matter what kind of pet you have as volunteers with Animal Rescue Foundation and the Everett Animal Shelter say they’ve never turned anyone away in the years they’ve been doing Santa Paws.

One of the nice things about the set-up here is Santa is in a separate room from all of the waiting pets so it’s a calm environment for getting a great photo.

The Shelter will be doing Santa Paws photos until 4:00 PM this afternoon and again next Saturday December 12th from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Santa Paws run

There were post run treats for people and pets during the Rockin’ Paw 5K.

Another great event today was the first ever Rockin Paw 5k run/1k walk at Langus Park right across the street from the Everett Animal Shelter.

Nearly 4 dozen dogs and their owners braved the rain to raise funds for the shelter. There were also lots of rewards for participating pets as well as their people.

One other note about the Everett Animal Shelter, this month is Decempurr. From now until the end of the month all cats six months or older have an Adoption Fee of just $25.00! (additional licensing fees may apply) Click here to check out all the cute adoptable faces.
