Everett Small Business Shopping Suggestions

November 28, 2015

Everett, Everett Economy

Small business Today is Small Business Saturday but hey, we all know Everett small business owners need your support on more than just one Saturday a year. This season here are our suggestions for small businesses in Everett that can use your help this Small Business Saturday, as well as year round…

1). MyEverettNews.com. Yes, there are still 3 days left in our $5.00 fundraising campaign and we’re not too shy to ask for your help in staying here.

2). Renee’s. If you want actual personal service from someone who has been a personal stylist to ladies in Everett for more than two decades, go see Renee Quistorf at Renee’s clothing on Colby downtown Everett. Shop by appointment and see what it means to be listened to instead of talked at.

3). McClain Insurance. Claudia and her staff do more for folks in Everett than provide insurance products. From sponsoring Cinema Under the Stars at Silver Lake to raising funds for the Everett Public Schools Foundation to electronic recycling events, McClain Insurance gives back to Everett in very tangible ways. When shopping this weekend pick up some extra socks and drop them off Monday at their Silver Lake office and help McClain Insurance support ToeVember.

4). Totem Family Diner. Voted Everett’s best breakfast for years, the Totem has been a fixture in Everett since 1953. Loved almost as much for the funny messages on the reader board as for their meals, Steve and Alicia go to great lengths to make you feel like family and provide huge portions of really great food.

5). Rick Merrill, Attorney. Sometimes you want to ask a legal question but don’t want an appointment. You can call Rick Merrill with a question anytime. In addition to legal issues he also sponsors an “Educator of the Month” contest where his firm awards $500 to an educator nominated by the public.

6). General Brushless Car Wash. The only place in Everett where they pump your gas for you and you don’t even have to buy a car wash. But, you should because they recycle the water and help protect salmon streams in Everett. At General Brushless Car Wash you can do it yourself or have them help and since they have gift cards you can give someone you know a shiny car and help save the environment!

So here are a half-dozen individually owned small businesses right here in Everett whose money stays here, helps build our economy and believe in supporting each other and the community.
